Seeing the Falls from the Canadian side is an awe inspiring site. The majestic beauty of the Horseshoe, American and Bridal Veil Falls will leave you breathless but this is only part of the surrounding area under the care of the Niagara Parks Commission.
Established in 1885 by the Ontario Provincial Government, the purpose of the Commission to be the caretaker and protector of the area around the Falls as well as the Niagara Parkway that stretches from Niagara-on-the Lake to Fort Erie ON.

Protecting the environment and maintaining greenspace is a priority of the Commission, while at the same time creating a wonderful tourist destination. However, the focus is not just the Falls as there are many other ways to enjoy the area. Whatever your interest, the Niagara Parks has something to offer.

There are many attractions available to enjoy viewing the Falls. You can get different vantage points from the Journey Behind the Falls to the Hornblower Niagara Cruises, just to name a few.

All along the Parkway you will find incredible displays of horticulture and nature. Whether you are walking, driving, cycling or being transported by the People Mover, you will not be disappointed . For example there is the Floral Clock, the Butterfly Conservatory or the grounds of the School Of Horticulture that will capture your imagination. All are perfect spots for a picnic lunch so you can soak it all in!!

If you want some adventure, the Niagara Parks offers that as well. You can try zip lining to the Falls, a White Water Walk or travelling above the Niagara whirlpool on the Whirlpool Aero Car. All are guaranteed to take your breathe away!!

If golf is your game. the Niagara Parks offers three championship golf courses as well as a Par 3 course for anyone who wants to take an hour and hit some balls.
